brakes

When I apply my brakes they seem to over apply and the vehicle stops too quickly, They also won't release  until I try to accelerate, and sometimes not then, This has been a problem since I had the front brakes replaced at the dealer.

That sounds like the brake hoses are not allowing the fluid to flow back to release pressure instantly when you release the brake pedal. This is pretty common on older vehicles. You/they can confirm that by putting the vehicle on the lift and turn the tires by hand to see how fast the brakes release when you let off the pedal. It became more noticeable now that you have strong front brakes. Plan to replace both front hoses and check the rear brakes too. I just did my 2004 Taurus for the same reason.
