Can I use Transeal in my Toyota Corolla?

Asked by GuruXSHYY Oct 27, 2018 at 10:04 AM about the 1994 Toyota Corolla LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 24 year old Toyota Corolla which had a transmission rebuilt done 2
years ago.  The people who rebuilt it didn't use the correct sealant and now it
is leaking again.
I don't have the money to have the transmission replaced.  Can I use a sealant
such as Transeal to seal the leak?
Thank you!

Sealants like trans-x or trans seal work mainly on seals and it won't hurt anything to try it. You might want to get under the car and tighten the transmission oil pan bolts they are more likely to be the problem. I hope this helps, take care

The check engine light? Have the trouble codes read to know what is causing the light to turn on.

Attn. Toyota Corolla, I doubt there would be any warranty after 2 years but you never know.
