Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Toyota Solara 3.0L V6. I have a code
P0128 from the check engine light scanner. It says
thermostat system malfunction. Does that mean the
thermostat alone needs to be changed? Or do I
also need to change the coolant? Also, could it be
the coolant temperature sensor that is causing the
code to come up because the temperature gauge
on the dash is normal.

It means you will have to spend mucho dinero at a mechanic's hangout- also known as a "garage"- make it a good one, where the pirates- also known as "mechanics"- have at least a little sympathy for their victims- also known as "clients"
