2001 Toyota Camry will not crank over

Asked by Mike Dec 18, 2016 at 03:12 PM about the 2001 Toyota Camry CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Toyota was running fine when I parked it Wednesday.  The battery is two years old.  When I open the door the interior light does not come on nor do any of the idiot lights when I turn the key on.  I hooked up my battery charger and it indicates the battery is fully charged.  I appear to have no power.  Transmission will not shift into neutral without the engine running so I'm not even sure about how to have it towed out of my driveway.  Any clues?

Have you attempted a proper Jump Start? Careful now..this must be done correctly.......big $$$$$ damages could be the result.

I have not. I'll call a shop in the morning. I gave my cables away along with most of my tools years ago.

You might also consider checking under the hood for "wild Life" activity. Mice seen to thrive on that delicious insulation covering the wiring under the Fuse/Relay boxes.
