engine cooling fan switch on the radiator

Asked by Guru9D4Z3P Oct 24, 2020 at 01:49 PM about the 2000 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I can't find a place where to purchase a sensor that fits my car? Apparently there are two different sizes in my vehicle, one by the engine and the other at the bottom corner of the radiator.
I was able to replace the one on the top but is the one that goes in the radiator that I am having trouble finding.

RockAuto.com has both the same parts listed for both the V6 and 4 cyl.... a Coolant Fan Controller @ $30.79 + shipping and a Temperature Sender / Sensor for as low as $2.04 + shipping, so you should probably just get the sender even if you don't think you need it. The controller looks to be harder to install with a push-in style probe and an in-line blade fuse and box with some wiring, which brings up the possibility that your fuse may be blown on your controller. Did you check it? Look at the part here so you can see what the in-line fuse looks like, then find it and check it on your camry. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=4664736&cc=1364644&jsn=384 Hope this helps
