Un plug check engine light?

How do I unplug the check engine light, so it will not display or flash?

I received information on how to check fix a sluggish idle.  I used gas with techron, used an octane booster, and found a small vacuum line unplugged.
The car is running smoothly now but the "check engine" light won't shut off or stop flashing.   I want  the check engine light un plugged.

you will need someone with a scanner to turn the light off. disabling it is not a good idea, it tells you when there is a problem that could damage your car if left unchecked. You could try unhooking the battery for a while and then hooking it back up, but the best way is to have someone with a scanner do it.

And the light will only come back on if you do not fix the problem.
