seeking 96 Camry STation wagon (with the experimental Lexus engine).
I have one that just got T-boned the Bluelbook is $1500 or so, the repair: $7000. So....not covered by insurance either bu the car is magnificent.
Maybe I should just pay the $$$ an d fix it? But an undamanged one for $1500 would be better. Thanks.
Are asking for an opinion? IMO, don't put $7K into the current vehicle. Purchase another.
Don't fix the old one. Even if you spent the money, the car would likely never be quite right. Keep the old one for parts if you like these cars that much.
