Car trouble

Asked by Monai Jul 03, 2018 at 06:06 PM about the 2002 Toyota Avalon XL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Iam already aware that I needed new brakes in my
2002 Toyota Avalon but payday is Friday and being
stubborn and living in hot as hell Florida I decided
to drive to work instead of walking. While driving
that day, I heard a snap and the suddenly the car
stopped going forward. It didn't stop running just
would not move and had to be pushed into a lot. Be
for shutting off the engine I could hear a spinning
or fan like sound while in drive that went away
when I put it in park. What could that possibly be
so I can better research repair costs. Please.
