Heater is not working

The heater and defrost function is not working and in the summer the a.c. did
not work correctly. What could be the problem?

2012 chev equinox blower fan stops once in awhile. Have already replaced resister

My 2006 HHR heater is not working my AC is working the heater only blows a little tiny Heat could you tell me the problem
