Will Subaru's heated windows still work if the head unit defrost doesn't function?

Asked by courkora Aug 31, 2019 at 02:09 PM about the 2005 Subaru Outback 3.0R

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2005 Subaru Outback's air conditioning / heat / defrost / radio unit thing
doesn't function. I think its the 3.0R VDC model but I'm not quite sure.
Seeing as winter is coming soon, I am wondering if my heated windows will
still function? I am trying to figure out a way to keep my windows free of frost
and fog this winter without defrost. Otherwise I'll have to figure out the price
of getting this fixed. :( Help..
