Small transmission fluid leak

So I went to pick up at 1995 Subaru legacy AWD and I
probably had to go an hour hour and a half away from my
house to get it I checked the fluids before I left then check
them again when I got home and the transmission fluid
went from being a hair below full two being slightly below
half full by the time I got home I was curious if there was
anywhere that I can start looking to see if I could
potentially find the leak and if so what steps should I take
in order to fix the leak

is it an automatic? You always check the level when the car is warmed up, running and on level surface. That is the true level. Fill if it is not in the cross hatching on the dipstick. Look for leaks, most times, it's the pan gasket.

It is an automatic and before I left to head back home I let the car warm up so I could check it and then it was warm cuz I just gotten back home when I checked it again

Add a small bottle of ATF-based stop-leak additive to the trans and wait a couple weeks for it to tighten up the internal seals. OTOH, if the bottom pan is wet then you'll have to remove it and reseal. 1995, eh? A bit hard to believe, as the gods of oxidation usually win by now....
