2004 Subaru Forester propshaft angle?

Asked by GuruWP99Q May 18, 2018 at 02:34 PM about the 2004 Subaru Forester XS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I would like to know if the propshaft on my Forester is correct or needs
inspection. Mine goes straight out from the gearbox to the centre bearing
and then at quite a angle down towards the differential compared to later
model where the propshaft runs in a straighter line from gearbox to center
bearing and to the diff? Btw my propshaft have not been replaced before and
universals looks to be in a good condition.

Thanks for the answers, someone had a look today. Seems someone previously put the center bearing back the wrong way around. So we loosend it and turned it 180 deg and re- tightened it back in place. Problem solved. Looks normal now.
