Subaru Help!!!!

Asked by Michele Dec 09, 2018 at 01:37 PM about the 2001 Subaru Forester L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 01 Subaru Forester L and last week
it began to run bad. Through out the day of
driving when I accelerate it makes like a
ticking noise and does not want to drive also
when in drive idle it shakes feels like it wants
to stall and the CEL light would blink when
accelerated. So I replaced the plugs wires
and cleaned out the catylac converter and
the only thing that helped is the blinking CEL
light. This only happens it seems when the
cars hot and I turn it off and run into the
store and come back out and start it. It's
only periodically throughout the day. Help

Try a fuel system cleaner and clean the throttle body. What do you mean by "cleaned out the catalytic converter"?
