Strut/shock assembly installation

Asked by rbmail01 Oct 27, 2017 at 12:49 PM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2005 Grand Prix  245k miles.  I plan on keeping car until it dies, or becomes
too costly to repair.  Never replaced loaded strut assembly before.  Ride is not
very smooth any longer (certainly compared to my girlfriend's 2016 car).
Does it make sense to replace?  How easy or difficult is it to install?  What
brand/ model should i buy ?
Thank you.
