anything to worry about after replacing shock/spring on passengers side?

i would of replaced both front shocks/springs on front end only in between jobs & only had enough money to
replace the passengers side that was broken.  is there anything to worry about if i put replacing the drivers side &
haven't done the alignment either.  i would of thought when my tires were replaced 2mo ago the spring would of
been noticed & noted which it wasn't.

well, how you test them is to put your foot on the bumper and bare down on the bumper with all your might...then let it go....if it bounces EVEN once...this means that the handling is shot and will bounce like a basketball goin' down the road...terrible for tires....terrible for control of the car....in wet weather will be comin' in on a wing and a prayer~

Springs wear over time and mileage. At 14 years you have to assume that the original springs are soft. Replacing one is not a good idea, and replacing only one shock is an even worse idea. Alignment is not the issue. The problem is that the front end of the car will react unexpectedly on corners and braking, and is not safe. On any reapirs with the front suspension or brakes, always replace both sides at the same time.
