When you changed the vent valve, did you check to make sure the line connecting it was not plugged?

Yes I did ,I disconnected it at both ends and blew air thru it with a compressor making sure air came out,I changed the fuel filter also just in case—-does this car have an evap canister

I believe so. A good hint is that the return line to the gas tank neck is present. The canister is usually in the engine bay. The vent line attaches to it.
