headlight lumen improvement

What is the best option to upgrade headlights for greater lumens?  I purchased a GT, seems as though the headlights lack brilliance.  I've already polished the exterior surface removing dead plastic and bought (9007) 40 dollar replacement bulbs.  I'm reluctant to spend the extra for a hid conversion kit.

Well, its just a fact that our headlights suck... I would try having them aimed first but other wise you have to go HIDs or get projectors... I personally have Silverstars and they dont make much difference...
