I had a 2002 buick lesabre that lost radio reception , after tracing the antenna to a spot in the head liner above the rear driver seat I found an " antenna amplifier " , a small box with solid state electronics , I soldered the guts of it so that the back and front antenna were connected and the box was deleted . After that radio reception was back to normal .
