Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM and my TRAC light stays on. How do I locate

The TRAC light is telling you your Traction Control function is inoperable. If it came on without you disabling the system, the system has detected a fault that needs repair. and will stay on until the fault is corrected. There should be a dash switch that will disable the system, usually in the center section of the dash or around the shifter. I would have the car scanned for error codes though in case there is a fault. It is not wise to turn the system off unless your driving conditions require it.
