Wouldn't it be better to spend the money on fixing the problem instead of one of the symptoms? Disconnecting and reconnecting a battery over time will cause other problems later on, possibly even ruin the main processor and then your dead in the water. I suggest fix it right.

Yes i would like to get it fixed but no one seems to be able to locate the problem. When taking key out ignition the car makes dinging noise when door is open and park lights are on like the key is still in the ignition. So i wanted to stop going under the hood evertime to drive. Help plz?

Well to start with there is a short too ground in the key cylinder switch, that is the dinging, my require a new key and tumbler unit, and that in itself is going to be problematic as the security system will have to be reprogrammed to reconize the new key and tumblers, and that can only be done at a dealer. Next you may have a problem with the delayed exit system, it is not shutting down after the set amount of delay time, usually that is the module itself, and that is another piece of equipment that can get fouled up with constant voltage drop outs. It really sounds like you need better techs working on your car. If you do decide on going with the switch make sure it can handle at least 300 amps. There are several out there that can handle that kind of power but they aren't cheap. Just be aware that eventually you will have major shut down.
