how can i test for head gasket leak

Do compression test on each cylinder. Look for low compression. Also pressure test cooling system. If system fails to hold pressure look for where the water is coming out. Check oil for white milky look.

easiest one to do, open the rad cap(with cold engine!!!) and start the engine, look for bubbles also oil in the rad overflow bottle, or coolant in the oil are signs of headgasket failure
