Double din stereo

Is it possible to install a double DIN stereo in a 2003
Mitsubishi eclipse? The reason I ask is because when you
look for the installation kit there is only an installation kit
available for the car for a single DIN stereo, no double DIN
kit exist, so I thought I'd buy a universal kit but before I do,
the thought occurred to me that maybe a double DIN kit
doesn't exist because there's not enough room to install it
