When you hit the curb, was it in the front or rear of the vehicle. So you replace the rear whole axle? The brake lines are attached to the axle, so you must have disconnected them. Did you bleed the brakes afterward?

It was sideways, really. Right hand turn too fast, overcorrected and hit on the passenger side. No I haven't bled the brakes. My mother's husband advised me on the rear end swap. Hes a mechanic, technically. Although I've been told I probably only needed the right rear replaced.
