1996 Grand Marquis will not die

I can remove the key and My car wont die. It still starts every single time with
no problems. Where do i start after changing the ignition switch, coil packs and
entire fuel pump assembly?

It could be the ECM . Something wrong with the computer controlling everything. The other possibility is a relay. I'd have to do more research, and I don't have time. replace any relay that might do it. They're cheap and easy to get. You can get a ECM from a junk yard.
