Good evening, I have a 2004 Lincoln Town car
120,000. Well maintained. I recently replaced the
exhaust manifold reconnected everything
correctly. Started right up. Right after I started it I
noticed coolant temperature on dash reads hight. I
request a coolant temperature sensor. Still the
same thing. I replaced the thermostat. Still the
same reading hight indicating overheating. Can
anyone help?

Double check your work. Make sure the wiring for the coolant temperature sensor is not touching the hot exhaust manifold. If it is the insulation has burned off and the bare wire is touching the exhaust manifold and creating a short. This will drive the temperature gauge to hot and make the temperature light come on immediately when you start the engine. Hope that helps! Jim

Thank you so much I really appreciate it. I went over my work and there was a wire that was burnt and exposed causing that short. Everythings perfect now!!! Thank you so much!!!!
