Is my air ride suspension killing my battery?

Asked by Guru95WBTJ Dec 31, 2020 at 05:34 PM about the 1995 Lincoln Town Car Signature

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1995 Lincoln town  car signature air ride drops after one
hour of shutting the car off. Is this normal?  Also a newer
battery die's often we suspect it has something to do with
the  air ride. The air suspension  was replaced recently.

Sounds like you have an air leak in the air ride system causing the pump to run continually and drop the ride to the low setting while draining your battery. Find the leaky component and replace it and both problems will likely go away.

Exactly, even if the vehicle is not being used much it should maintain its height for at least several days, maybe longer! Hope that helps! Jim
