Inaccurate odometer reading
hello!!!.......quick question:.......i just replaced
the battery on my 2002 JEEP Grand
Cherokee Limited 4.7L......i took the old
battery out 2mos prior to putting in the new
one.....once the new battery was installed,
the odometer reading increased to 144K
miles from the 128K(actual miles) on the
truck.......why is this?.....& what do i do?
YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND HAVE IT REPROGRAMMED !
thank u for the prompt response.....much appreciated....
With the motor running and door shut, look to your overhead display and push the "Menu" button once. Your first of twelve options you can choose "Metric" or "English". Choose "English" and your odometer will go back to "Miles" and not "Kilometers" which is Metric. That should fix it.
Ok....thank u for responding.....hopefully this works.....will let u know
