Why does my jeep run for a while that shut off when stopped at a light for instance?

Asked by porch Sep 27, 2014 at 08:39 PM about the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have changed the thermostat myself!  and the relay switch was chged by a kind small town shop.  I still owe 97 dollars to but he let me take my jeep.   He had it on a diagnostic machine at this local car shop and he said it only showed relay switch problem and replaced it.  He said could not tell problem until it stopped working completely?    Still doing it and that was 5 days ago.  Runs for a few miles and then stops when I have to stop too much.   I am so frustrated.   Single mom   4 kids   no way to get kids to school football practice after school programs etc.   Unemployed.   Please tell me what I can do to find problem.  I am willing to watch video and do it myself!
