Turns off in 3 secs

My jeep grand cherokee shits off after 3
secs and doesnt turn on tried pressing the
gas and my key sign pops up ? Could it be
my key? And my gas gauge doesnt go up
?

If its a newer key ( push start) and it shuts off while in park it could be the battery in the key fob. If its a key you have to turn in the ignition it could be a chip problem in the key. Advanced or pepboys have free testers at most locations
