Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Would a faulty idler arm prevent me from driving the jeep?

HELL YES! you would not be able to steer. the idler arm plays the game opposite the steering control arm- I'd show you a picture. Like taking a crippled crutch tips off.

It depends on how bad the idler arm is. There are thousands of trucks with worn arms and the owners don't know about it.
