Hi bigdog1968, A decent multi-meter can help you locate this problem. Remove the negative battery cable from the battery; connect the black lead to the cable and the red lead to the battery post. This puts your meter in series with the battery and you will measure all current drain. Do not start the Jeep just record the current reading. Leave the meter connected and disconnect the blower. Record the current reading again. If the reading dropped significantly, then the problem is still in the blower assembly. If not, then start disconnecting things until the current reading drops. Check the hood and trunk lights first. Those are the most likely wires to short, then any wires going through a door. Good luck. A 10 Amp meter is probably sufficient. There are clamp on Ammeters probes, so you do not have to disconnect your battery, but they are expensive.
