No brake lights

Asked by GuruSRDGM Jun 12, 2019 at 08:40 AM about the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My brake light switch was sticking so i toom it out
and cleaned it up and reinstalled it. But there was
also a remote starter box kinda by my brake pedal
that i moved arpynd a lil bit. But once i got done i
had no brake lights whatsoever. Fuses are good
and bulbs are good. And does anyone have any
idea what i need to do to remove the remote
starter because i didn't get the key fob when i
bought the jeep. I didnt even know it was there
until it just all of a sudden started starting up all by
itself.

Those third party remote starters can be a real pain, you might want to look for shops in the area that install them and see if they can remove this one and get it back to factory. For the brake lights, check that your Brake Position Switch is properly aligned along the brake pedal lever arm, that switch is what turns on the brake lights when depressed.
