Yes, this sounds like the security system. You can reset it by removing the one of the battery cables for about 10 min. If this did not work, try cycling the key in the passenger lock 3 times. The next thing I would try is a computer reset at you local shop. (this might cost a little bit)
I did them the alarm stop but jeep won't stay start n my battery won't stay charge
