I have noticed a trend that people are selling their Audi TT mostly under or around 100000 miles. Is there a specific reason anybody know, why is this a trend that after certain miles, is it that the driver gets bored??? or some mechanical issue starts coming up? Please advise anyone....

At 100K you generally have fairly major services due. Also at that mileage there will be front end parts needing to be replaced. Ball joints, tie rods, bushings, etc. Call the Audi dealer to find out what maintenance is needed at 100k and pay an amount for the car knowing these services are not cheap. Timing belt, oil leaks, etc. Audi's are relatively expensive to repair and going over the 100k mark you will have some repairs.

"Try to find one with the timing belt replaced and other items so you won;t have to worry about it" or find out how much it is going to cost and lower your counter offer to cover it.

and don't go to the dealers....look it up...find out what is recommended by Audi and go to a shop you trust for Audi repair...guys who have been trained by Audi. Totally worth repairing...just hit 102,000 and my repairs are $1,500 for a bunch of stuff. The dealership has a time frame for all repairs, the per hour charge is stupid and they want to sell cars. My guys charge the actual time, not a padded time frame to cover problems etc. signed a girl.

I have owned my Audi TT since July of 2000. I bought it used. It was originally manufactured in May of 1999. When I bought the car, it had 20,000 miles on it. Now it has 145,000. I have changed the timing belt. 3 times now. I do it myself, along with all the maintenance on the car. No one touches my Audi TT. Not even Audi dealership repair service. I haven't let them work on my car since they were supposed to evacuate the brake fluid and refill. THEY DID NOT do the and told me they did but it was brown, not clear. I purchased a factory repair manual and so conduct all service for the car. The car is fairly easy to repair with the biggest issue being the instrument cluster having gone bad once. It's a 5 speed. Love the car. Will always love this car.

Hi I have just purchased 6 month old audi TT 1.8 automatic 2018. I am relunctant to pay out a service plan with Audi. They always charge over the odd and wonder a small local garage would be more reliable and just as good in servicing? any advice would be appreciated as i have little idea of car repair and service but i do love keeping my car clean and shiny.
