Car problem
I bought a Honda Civic Hybrid 2006 from a dealership and
6 days later it started not turning on and the lights of the
dashboard would just be flickering and making a very bad
clicking noise from it not turning on. Some people have
said it may be the electric battery that is placed In the rear
area of the car behind the seats. Has this happens to
anyone else? And know what it could be or what I could
do?
With hybrids this old, battery problems are to be expected. Be weary of the dealership you buy from. See if they have a limited warranty for the car you bought. The clicking noise is from the relays in the car not having enough voltage.
We bought the car without warranty, so it’s sold as it is
Most states have a 30 day lemon law, check into that with your state website.
I got it in Iowa so it doesn’t
Apparently those hybrids still rely on a 12v battery to start the car and that same batter controls the car’s computer. There’s also a color indicator on the battery itself that will tell you if it is dead.
Do you know how the color indicator looks like so I can check

Okay thank you! So that will show me to see if my 12v battery is dead?
It should but I can’t be sure that will be a fix all.
