Battery Problem or Maybe Something Else?

Asked by Roberto Jan 09, 2021 at 11:59 AM about the 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I hooked up a fully charged battery and the parking lights came on immediately
and there was a low buzzing sound. However, none of the interior or dash
lights came on and the car would not start. FYI, I haven't started or driven the
car in a few months.

If you have a multimeter check the battery voltage and make sure you have enough to crank. May also want to check posts and connectors for corrosion and good contact. You're looking for something like 12.5 volts to start.
