Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi. I have a 2007 Honda Civic hybrid that when the
car starts heating it stops accelerating and loses
force but when in most occasions i turn on the
heater it starts working again. Another thing is
when this happenes the car does go to the H
section not the C section where the millage is at
but rather stays in the middle. What can be the
problem?

If the motor or battery overheats the power will be reduced to save the system from damage.

Bad thermostat if you say H as in hot. Test the coolant temperature sensor also. Any codes?

Everything has been checked from air system to transmision and yes H as in hot.
