DeathJam4 car issues.

Asked by outasqaure Mar 05, 2016 at 12:15 AM about the 2002 Audi A4 1.8T quattro AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

DeathJam4 I got the thermostat housing and temp sensor housing
replaced at mechanic, the following day was driving to school and then car
died about half way into my drive when I was coming to a stop at a red
light. The RPMs started to drop under 1k then came back up then back
down. The only way the car would stay on is by giving it a lot of gas. I had
none of these problems before going to the mechanic but now they are an
issue. Any idea?

First did u take it to a mechanic you know and trust. If so take it back there he may find something related to the issue or maybe something he accidentally did. If not find a good and trusted mechanic to check it out. Also in the area he worked, if u can look around there may b something obvious and related to the work he did. Maybe a vac hose loose, etc.
