Gizmo on dashboard?

Been several weeks since getting my Audi
A4 Quattro...noticed (picture) this little
something on dash' close to windscreen, on
left  side ...feels magnetic , but I have no
idea what it's purpose is ? Hope someone
may know  it may not be unique to the
car ...

Hmm. I should probably see if I can find where the cable goes to ... The actual radio antenna is imprinted on upper portion of windscreen. Most peculiar.. the small black square Is moveable as if magnetically attachef to the white base. A definite peculiarity

If you bought the car at on of those places that lets you make payments it is likely part of the device that can remotely disable your car if you fail to pay. The part in the picture is a GPS antenna. It also could be as tennisshoes said above.
