Wont turn over 2003 gmc sierra

I have 2003 gmc sierra. Its weekend only truck with 217000 miles. Took it on
short 5 mile drive and about half way there started sounded like running  on half
cylinders. Got to destination and it died almost like it seized.  Won't turn over.
Lights still work everything electrical working. Can hear starter engage but
nothing moves. Towed home and checked codes. 120 220 and 1516 showed
up. Dash diplayed low power mode. I deleted codes tested still no movement.
Code 1516 returned. Will codes prevent starter from having enough power to
turn motor?
