Why is my 1997 GMC Sierra 5.7 vortec missing in cylinder 8?

Asked by John Mar 12, 2020 at 09:37 PM about the 1997 GMC Sierra 1500 C1500 SLE Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1997 GMC Sierra with the 5.7 vortec has a
cylinder 8 misfire after I replaced the spider injector.
I checked the plugs and wires and they seemed to
be okay. The truck needs timing can that cause a
misfire if it’s a little out of time? I also changed the
distributer, cap and rotor not to long ago.
