will my 1990 mustang 5.0 lx hatchback with 70k original miles go up in value?

most likely not. there is a chance years and years down the road but that is a slim chance. the reason i say that is because that year was not the most popular year for mustangs. not to many people have a lilking for the fox body mustangs and the 5.0 motors are a dime a dozen. so really you dont have much going for it. yeah it may have only 70k original miles but i think that will make that much of a difference. I think that way in the future if people are wanting to rebuild mustangs they will still want the 60-70's if you can find them or want the late 90's to the early 2000's.

The LX 5.0's are a bit more expensive than the GT's already. They are rarer and lighter (thus faster).

Is this something you know or guess. The reason I ask is because i got two totally different answers 1 from you saying no they will not appreciate in value, and another saying that the LX 5.0 are starting to go up in value now because their are alot less LX than GT models. Granted there are alot of them90-93s out there right now, usually driven by kids, but as the kids crack them up and/or wear them out. I would think they will become somewhat valuable. Not like the 70s models, but its still a mustang 5.0 coming up on 25 years old. I paid $2800.00 for it two years ago, and I can probably double that right now

You could easily double your money on it. As far as appreciation goes, likely not in this decade.

problem is,that it is a LX,around here where im at you can pick up a nice low milage one for around $2.500.00.it all depends on location and what a person is willing to pay.

5.0 lx convertible mustangs are not a dime a dozen, don't know what that guy was talking about , ya sure you can find them, but 90% of them are junk and not worth the price in scrap metal ,nice ones with low milage ,taken car of and not beaten are only gonna go up in value, I looked for close to a year for a decent coupe ,and couldn't find one for less then 7 or 8 k that was worth a dam ,keep you car and take care of it ,its only gonna go up in value, also try to keep it as close to original as possible , will help .

These are nice cars. I have an LX seven up edition for 7 years.the car is all original with no rust and good paint.I had it painted about 4 years ago but never get the chance to drive it.Put 1500 in wheels that are still brand new . Don't have time to drive so I might as well sell it . Someone make me a decent offer.

Yes, it will go up in value. Just out of rarity. Not a lot of clean ones out there anymore.
