Google Mustang Supercharger. I don't know what you'll get for $2400, the ones I priced recently were around $4-5k.

Did you by any chance get on a dyno with that Trick Flow top end kit on?

35

no i havnt gotn a chance, i live in milwaukee and i cant find anywhere to go for it. why?

75

Ah, I was just curious as to what kind of power it was putting out. I would imagine with those kinds of mods, and a chip you'd really benefit from getting a few dyno runs and a professional tune done if it never has been...

35

no it hasnt been done yet, i live in milwaukee and i find anywhere to have it done w/i at least 100miles. but it was definantly worth it, im guessing its putting out around 370 to380ish, idk just a guess.

Ah, I think you'd be surprised to know it's probably more like 260-290 at the wheels, which with a standard estimate of 15% drivetrain loss puts you around 300-330 at the flywheel. But def over 300-lb-ft of torque to the wheels. Figure stock it has 225 hp and 300 tq at the flywheel, and thats BEFORE you take into account accessories and drivetrain loss. That usually means around 190hp and 260tq to the wheels give or take. With these cars being so light, that torque makes them feel pretty damn fast!!! Just remember there's no replacement for displacement, I'd build a sick 331 stroker with that 2 grand or even a 347 if you dont drive it every day. Then supercharge that later.....

Yeah, i wouldnt doubt if your right, i would hope itd be more than that tho, this is almost everything ive done to it, i just wanna get that supercharger on and be done with it for a while cause after this got got alota school to pay for... It's possible your at or around 300rwhp. It def looks like the motor is ready for forced induction OR a stroker I'd say. Either way, it's gonna be pretty fun...

well im gona run the 1/4mile in about 3weeks in michigan so we'll see what it does

For the dyno check with your local car clubs, They will probaly make run and you can get it done F.O.C. Also you can talk to people who already have it done. From what I hear, Vortech has the least amount of problems. You'll need another grand. Sometimes you can find deals on e-bay, but rarely a Vortech. 380 is high a est. on H.P. You might get that after a supercharger so don't be disapointed if you dyno and your numbers aren't that high.

you need a test and tune to get the thing to put out much more than you had detonation will occure without one. owner of a 89 t-bird SC.
