2006 Caravan instrument cluster flashes, gauges flutter

Asked by ptkeam Nov 08, 2021 at 08:54 PM about the 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I've had the above problem just when I first start the van in the morning--  I've ordered a bcm to replace one on vehicle.
This morning -- van would NOT start (turned over)  I disconnected negative battery cable & noticed the wingnut attaching cable to terminal on battery was loose.   I tightened it & reconnected -  car started and problem with gauges fluttering and LED's flashing entirely went away.
Could loose cable connection on negative battery terminal have caused this??

Update -- I've been driving the vehicle for a month now after tightening the negative battery cable -- NO PROBLEMS -- this appears to have been the problem
