sounds like a Body Control Module is not getting proper control ground~ clean your grounds with a wirebrush especially the MAIN cable from the battery TO the chassis ground~

I can under stand them staying on after the car is locked .but not to open in an 03
they will stay on for 2/3 mins after turning off van also come on just opening doors
