The cooling system works under pressure.....u did the correct thing w the radiator and thermostat.....but a simple radiator cap (if u have one) will allow the car to over heat. When the car starts overheating again.....turn on your heater and tell me what happens to the indicator??

This is a common problem in the PT......it is your radiator.....it corrodes from within.
