My transmission is messed up it will not go into any gear

I have a 2003 Ford Windstar the other day I went to leave a
friend's house and I put the car into gear and it does
nothing it doesn't work in any of the gears it just acts as if
it's in neutral and I don't know what's causing it could
someone help me please

I concur w jay start w fluid level on level ground running in park w e brake set (for safety) should be in crosshatch on dip stick. Not in cross hatch add till is. inspect for leak. Axod3 transmissions are fairly reliable if well cared for and treated decent. Service fluid and filter EVERY 35k. Trans will give you years of service.
