How can I get the parking lights to turn off on my 2004 Ford Taurus?

Asked by srhutto Aug 01, 2014 at 07:13 PM about the 2004 Ford Taurus SEL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On my way home from work I noticed the parking lights were on. The light switch was in
the "off" position. The headlights are off but the parking lights are on. I had to disconnect
the battery so it wouldn't drain over night and I could return to work tomorrow.

I had similar situation. The off position is to the left of the marked off position. I have to turn switch past off to get the parking lights and tail lights to go off.
