Transfer case clicking

My 06 explorer kicks in 4 wheel drive and clanks
loud when I hit a water puddleand I feel like it's
stuck in 4 wheel high anything I can do

Dry the wiring on the actuator and put dielectric grease on pigtail.

It did it on slightly muddy ground just wanted to check with someone who knows more about the auto 4 wheel drive
