How do you remove headrest

I got it! There is a small pin hole in the plastic trim coller. Stick a heavy paperclip in hole and the headrest will pull right out!

I just removed my head rests so I could fit a sheep skin cover on the front passenger seats. Once I figure out how doing it was easy. First pull the headrest out to its fullest extent (important!) Then bend a medium sized paperclip straight and push it into the hole you can find in the plastic collar at the bottom of the post. Direct the tip of the paperclip towards the back side of the post with moderate pressure.. It will travel about 1/2 inch and at some point you will feel more pressure. Push a little more and it will press open the ring inside the collar that is locking the headrest in place. Holding the paperclip in place, pull up on the headrest and it should come out easily. I did not have to use the paper clip to reinsert the headrest. You will need to tip the seat back to clear the ceiling above. This was done to a 2008 Mariner.

Why would anyone make a car that you could only take apart with a PAPER CLIP ???
